This release gathers for the first time on vinyl the most famous musical themes from Tim Burton’s movies. Most of them are composed by Tim Burton’s favourite composer (Danny Elfman), and some by Howard Shore and Stephen Sondheim.The songs are drawn from the cult film that launched Johnny Depp’s career: “Edward Scissorhands”, to his latest masterpiece: “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”.The collaboration between Tim Burton and Danny Elfman is one of the most successful of Hollywood. This duo has allowed to convey this distinctive imagery created by the former Walt Disney cartoonist, who has become, today, the undisputed master of fantasy and strangeness.Danny Elfman (also known for the famous Simpsons’ generic/film credits) remains thecomposer who, better than anyone, has been able to transcribe the universe both dark andfairy of his favourite director. His music draws its inspiration from Edgar Allan Poe’s novel, German expressionism and from the Hammer’s cult movies.This vinyl offers an hour of music to immerse yourself into Tim Burton’s phantasmagoric universe:from the hypnotic and quirky theme of Willy Wonka (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) to the disturbing atmosphere of Gotham City (Batman). This album pays tribute to both Tim Burton’s cinematographic work and Danny Elfman’s musical genius.

Hoshizora Cycling (星空 Cycling , Cycling in the Starry Sky?) is the third ending theme of Urusei Yatsura, performed by Virgin VS. Originally used as an insert song for Episode 37, it would be later used as an ending theme for episodes 44 to 54 and even as an insert song again in Episode 45. It will later return as an insert song again for Urusei Yatsura: Only You, then return as an ending theme again for episodes 65 to 77 (though Tomobiki-cho lists those episodes having I, I, You and Ai as the ending theme).The theme would later on return being used as an insert song once again in OVA 2.

Original score to the original 1992 motion picture composed by Angelo Badalamenti. The soundtrack to Twin Peaks : Fire Walk with Me includes music by Angelo Badalamenti, who had composed and conducted the music on the television series and it's original soundtrack. In addition to his instrumental compositions, Fire Walk with Me's soundtrack features vocal accompaniment to Badalamenti's songs by jazz vocalist Jimmy Scott and dream pop singer Julee Cruise. Badalamenti performs vocals on "A Real Indication" and "The Black Dog Runs at Night", two songs by the Thought Gang, a musical project between Badalamenti and David Lynch. Lynch wrote the lyrics for several of the soundtrack's songs, including "Sycamore Trees", "Questions in a World of Blue", "A Real Indication" and "The Black Dog Runs at Night", and was the soundtrack's producer alongside Badalamenti.
