After dominating 2023 with two joint albums from two of hip-hop’s biggest producers in The Alchemist (The Great Escape) & Cardo (The Night Shift), Larry June is back with his first full length offering of 2024, Doing It For Me. Going back to his roots of what made him the type of man he is today and the formula that initially brought him success, the album contains no features and focuses on Larry doing things his way, for himself. From enlightening listeners on how to move like a boss and live a healthy lifestyle, to flashing what his hard work has brought, fans are sure to be able to soak up some game on how to improve their own situations. The 15-track album features production from Jake One, DJ Khalil, Harry Fraud, Cardo, Cookin’ Soul, Teeko & more. Singles include "Imported Couches," "Meet Me In Napa," "Dreams," & "Like A Mack." If there’s one thing we know about Uncle Larry thus far, it’s consistency. Listen to Doing It For Me and prepare to watch your habits improve.

The album Lo-Fi Ghibli became a hit worldwide with covers of Studio Ghibli songs in a Lo-Fi hip-hop style, and it made Grey October Sound known not only in Japan but also overseas. This series became a topic of discussion even on Japanese television, and it's common to see tourists visiting Japan carrying the Lo-Fi Ghibli LP from record stores to the register. P-VINE is thrilled to announce the release of the highly anticipated sequel to this popular work, "Lo-Fi Ghibli 2." In this new release, Grey October Sound's producers have arranged Ghibli songs not included in Vol. 1, and the visual imagery, including the jacket, continues to be produced by illustrator Rika Nagatani. Placing this record on your turntable will instantly provide you with a relaxing chill time accompanied by memories of the Ghibli films.

There’s a new EP afoot for the three piece hip-hop unit MONJU. Currently awaiting a name, there’s a lot of mystery surrounding this first major undertaking by ISSUGI, SENNINSHO and Mr. PUG since their last EP Black de. ep released all the way back in 2008. Now veterans of the Japanese hip-hop scene, their legendary status has had no marked effect on the raw and rooted sound that has stuck with them since the early days, and we expect a fire of fresh material. All tracks will be produced by the prolific 16FLIP who has worked tirelessly with the unit’s back catalogue and many key records in Dogear Record’s rich history.
